Ya’ll keep asking about alllllll of my coffee table books, which I have been collecting for the past three years like a crazy person. But no matter how many I have … I always want more! Since I’m personally owning over 50 coffee table books myself, I feel like I can finally give some good advice and honest feedback on the best ones I own.
Furthermore, I have also installed many more coffee table books in my client projects, therefore, the amount of coffee table books I have worked with has probably hit +110 anyways. As your favorite big sis when it comes to interior design, I’m not gatekeeping my best coffee table book finds.
In this blogpost, I’ll spill the tea on everything I know, sharing my fave 25 coffee table books with a neutral color palette. Deffo doing a part 2 with colorful coffee table books!! But let’s start with neutrals first …
1 . Live Beautiful by Athena Calderone
I love this book. There is nothing else to say expect “I love you”. Love the look, love the size, love the content covered, love the projects shared. A true gem and inspiration. Perfect to store on one of your bigger coffee table books!
2. Made for Living – Amber Lewis
Amber Lewis is a fantastic role model for me, therefore, it’s no surprise I love her books too. This one is gorgeous!
3. The Art of Home – Shea McGee
If you haven’t heard of Studio McGee before, you should RUN and check out their content. Love everything Shea is creating, therefore this book is another no brainer, featuring her stunning products.
4. This is Home – Natalie Walton
Stunning book with a slightly darker cover but featuring stunning interior related photos. Really like this book!
5. AD at 100 – A Century Of Style by Architectural Digest
A very popular coffee table book which I feel has been featured many times, however, it is still a classic and very good basis to build up your coffee table decorations. Due to its size (it’s relatively large) I like to stack it under another book, therefore, it is not completely visible and a good book to work with.
6. Eat Drink Nap by Soho House
Lovely book, not my personal favorite shape but a stunning piece to work with when you also have other books and decor items.
7. Soft Minimal – Norm Architects
Another pretty book to add to your neutral coffee table book collection. It’s a stunning book featuring neutral interiors and soft colors.
8. Arranging Things – Colin King
Has this become another classic? I think so! Colin King has been so popular over the last years, and his book is so worth it. I love his projects and attention to detail which is shown in his book.
9. Patina Modern – Chris Mitchell & Pilar Guzmán
Stunning book with a few modern and colorful aspects. A great combination!
10. Interiors Atelier AM
This coffee table book looks SO good in person. I adore all the projects and the large size of it! Perfect book!!
11. Pacific Natural At Home – Jenni Kayne
Jenni Kayne has amazing products and projects, therefore, her book is another product that you just need to have. Lovely size, lovely content.
12. Sunday Suppers – Karen Mordechai
A cute book that’s perfect for the slow living. I love to keep it in the kitchen!
13. Items & Interiors – Bea Mombaers
Adore this book! I have it on top of my Hilma af Klint. It has a stunning cover and material, very nice content.
14. Green Mallorca – Patricia Parinejad
Cute book with a tiny bit of color, perfect if you don’t want to “only” have completely natural coffee table books.
15. Portraits of Interiors – Axel Vervoordt
If you like the works of Axel Vervood, you’ll also like this book. While lots of his other books are a bit more moody, this one has a nice neutral cover which looks great if you are focusing on neutral books.
16. Dior – Peter Lindbergh
This one is a must have if you ask me. I love the grey-ish color and the size of the two books! Great photos (obviously) and a lovely cover.
17. The Simple Living – Alexander Paar
I adore this book from Alex, although maybe I am biased. Alex is one of my colleagues and it always makes me so proud to see anyone publish their own book. I love the cover and size of it too! Perfect to put on display anywhere in your home.
18. Imagine – John & Yoko Ono
Another book I love. The pages are covered in clouds, which looks very unique and special when placed on a table. However, if the blue skies and clouds are too much, you can easily place it somewhere where these aspects are not as visible. I remember being super impressed by the book when I first got it and still love it!
19. Coolness – Michael Köchkritz
A very fun book to read and to look through.
20. Distinctly Modern Interiors – Emily Summers
Gorgeous book with a tiny bit of color that still serves as a neutral coffee table book if you ask me! I think it has a wonderful size.
21. Hilma af Klimt
Lovely book with lots of drawings. As I am not the biggest fan of drawings, I have to admit I mainly bought it because of its outside look, which I adore! It pairs so well with other coffee table books.
22. The deVOL kitchen – Paul O’Leary
I adore deVOL so much, so them making a coffee table book was pure perfection. Great for inspo!
23. The Red Thread – Phaidon
This book is so unique with the red threads hanging from it everywhere. Really love it as a nice addition on the coffee table!
