For all budgets and perfect as gifts!
Okay, I will be honest with you: I’m crazy about scented candles! Who doesn’t like the cosy and gentle atmosphere burning candles create, especially if you can have a nice scent on top of that too??
Over the past years, I’ve tried SO many different scented candles as an interior designer and influencer that I can confidentially give you my honest review on which candles I will buy over and over again, so you don’t have to go through all of this too!
Here’s the list of my favourite ever-scented candles:
1. LOEWE
Pretty much every LOEWE candle smells amazing. However, I love to use Oregano (white), Ivy (pink), and Honeysuckle (yellow). The candles look absolutely stunning in any interior and have a strong and long-lasting scent. I even cover them up with a glass occasionally due to their strong scent (which is good!).
(The Loewe candle is the one covered with the glass and the riffled container)
2. Jo Malone
Just like their home fragrances and home diffusers, the Jo Malone candles are-something-else! Not only do they look absolutely stunning with their sleek look and lid, they also have extremely elegant scents. Our favourites: Pomegranate Noir or Myrrh & Tonka.
3. Byredo
If you’re looking for beautiful minimalistic scented candles with a unique and luxurious scent, Byredo might be the place for you! All of their candles have an amazing quality, last long, and have lovely scents. Our personal favourites: Ambre Japonaise and Bibliotheque.
4. Diptyque
Diptyque is a classic when it comes to scented candles, and their unique designs are always an eye-catcher. However, we feel like you need to really pick your favourite Dipytque scent. Diptyque also has a few scents we dislike so it’s important to try them in advance. A must-have that we buy over and over again though is Feu de Bois! The scent is INSANE in the most positive way ever!
5. Lagom Studios
Lagom Studios is a very young and female run company from Germany, which focuses on sustainable and ethically produced candles. All of their candles have been amazing so far and the quality is one of the best we have experienced so far. Definitely worth buying! Our favourites: Fir Tree (literally the best scent for Christmas), Fire Wood (too good!!), PRIDE (special edition which is insane), 22:22 (smells like a fresh field of lavender), and Silence (so, so good! Comes with a piece of wood that burns the candle).
6. Tom Dixon
On the pricier side, the Tom Dixon candles have proven to be worth the money. Besides their incredible design, the scents are super fresh and strong, making their lid necessary if you want to smell other scented candles too! The only issue: If you burn the candle make sure to wait until it is fully cooled down before putting the lid back on (we broke one lid as the glass was still too hot). Our favourite: EARTH
7. Candle Sticks: IKEA
This viral stance vase has been across social media for the past few months and we can’t resist but add it to our list of the most beautiful vases. It has such a unique shape and is great for simple flowers or branches. Minimalistic simplicity at its best!
8. H&M Home
In the past, we’ve also had a great experience with scented candles from H&M Home. They are relatively cheap and have strong, nice scents that fill a whole room. In particular, we like their basil candle and sublime pachouli.

9. House Doctor Huri Vase
House Doctor is great when it comes to cheaper interior decor pieces and has a variety of fantastic vases we simply love, such as their Huri vase which is an absolute must-have.

10. 101 Copenhagen
Did you know Celine also makes scented candles? Most likely one of the most beautiful candles out there at the moment! And just like their amazing perfumes, the candles all smell absolutely divine too.
Plus: Celine also offers lots of candle accessories such as a wick trimmer, candle snuffer or lids. Our favourites: Papiers Froissés and Grands Lys.Definitely worth a try!
