Discount home stores such as HomeGoods, IKEA, and TJ Maxx offer stylish options at lower prices. DIY projects and upcycling old furniture can also help cut costs while adding a personal touch. Additionally, shopping during seasonal sales or using store coupons can maximize savings on home decor essentials.
However, if you’re not into that, there are always great ways to shop nice things on platforms such as Amazon. Quick and easy to receive. So let’s take a look at my top 10 favorite pieces every interior design lover should know about!
1. Floor lamps
Lighting is super important and I love when there is a good budget-friendly solution. Particularly when the item doesn’t stand out completely and only serves a purpose, a budget-friendly option can be a great way to incorporate nice looking things without spending too much money. The floor lamp in my own living room is a great example! Unfortunately, it is no longer made but was super cheap. This alternative is just as cheap and looks wonderful!

Obsessed with this shower system! Budget-friendly and high quality! Very happy with the functionality, after using it for some time. Easy to maintain, easy to install. Adore it!
3. Striped wallpaper – 10m!
Wallpaper can be extremely expensive, but this option is absolutely perfect for your use. High quality, 10m length, and a stunning design. What else do we need?
4. Most beautiful scissors out there
My favorite scissors out there!!! I have them in literally any size, any style. I love them and think they function extremely well. Gorgeous to also just place them as a decorative item across the room, definitely much nicer than a random pair of scissors. Why do we have to only choose functional pieces that are not pretty?
5. Cute oval picture frame with an antique twist
When designing the small reading nook at Project Greenwood, I paid a lot of attention to budget-friendly options. This gorgeous picture frame had the perfect shape, size, and design! Perfect for that price point. Spoiler: I ripped out the “painting” from a magazine and cut it to size to match the frame.
6. Linen-look curtains
Curtains can be a pain to select. They are often super expensive, don’t have a nice fabric and texture, and very often the colors are difficult too. I test-ordered these stunning linen look alike fabrics with no hope of them suiting my needs. However, I have been obsessed with them and bought them in multiple colors and shapes for different projects. You’ll love them and they are a great option if you are looking for a budget-friendly solution.
7. Candle holder brass
I love, love, love this candle holder! However, I saw it listed in multiple other stores for a FORTUNE! Searched for it and found it on Amazon for a fraction of the cost. I adore it! It makes such a cozy light and the aged brass looks unique and perfect.
8. Vase looking like stone
Loving stone like vases and this ceramic pot is perfect. It adds so much character and depth but also is budget-friendly and functional.
9. Oval mirror
I’ve been asked about this mirror so many times! This is such a good find, budget-friendly and so good looking. I love the design and how sleek it looks, plus it comes in many different colors, so very versatile depending on your interior design style.
10. Cute marble look-alike tray
Looking for a gorgeous tray? This marble look alike tray is amazing and such a great find! Real marble trays can be super expensive AND heavy, that’s why this is a great alternative.
