Reaching from eclectic designs to neutrals and more
I would love to design endless home offices, as they hold so, so much potential!! Particularly home offices are often a thing that is completely neglected when people design their home. But why???? It’s a place you do spend a lot of time in, as well as it is a place where you should function properly, be a problem-solver, team-player, and most often also creative.
That’s why the home office is usually a space I love designing functional but also extraordinary and unique. Why not use this space to be brave with your interior design choice, try different things, and just create a room you genuinely love being in? And let me tell you… if you love the room yourself and just go for that little extra spice, everyone you’ll be calling online will be jealous of that gorgeous space you get to sit in.
Life’s too short to spend time working yourself into the grave, and it’s even more tragic if the time you spend working is spend in a space you don’t feel well in. In my online course I cover the full aspects of home offices and three main layouts I have identified when working with clients (I have never seen that not at least a single one of them does not work!). So if you want to know how to furnish your space and identify where you can include a proper home office, make sure to view lecture 6, also included in the full course. You can find out more here.
Anyways, if you are looking for inspo right now, let’s take a look at these 10 exciting home office designs, that make my heart skip a beat. I have included multiple different designs on purpose, to share what’s possible and to reach any style! Because depending on what you want, there really are endless opportunities.
Beautiful home office examples
1. Eclectic with lots of texture
You have no idea how much I love this design! Such an eclectic, inviting, and unique space, which just screams creativity. I love the textures and material combinations, as well as the overall layout. It’s inviting yet closed, and the space is not massive, making it perfect for a home office space.

2. A generous, creative place to work
Not quite as colorful and moody as the example before, but this is another wonderful design where unique shapes have been used to create a comfortable but exciting space. Lighting chosen carefully makes it even more cozy, all while still being open and natural.

3. A perfect, small place to work
I LOVE this!!! It’s such a simple place, like a little bar, with nothing exciting except for these exceptionally unique chairs. What a stunning place to work! Can you imagine how good it must feel in such a space?

4. A neutral space with lots of room for creative moodboards
Another dream for anyone working with moodboards. I adore this look, as well as the neutral colors keeping it calm and not influencing you into any direction. A dream!

5. Simple and elegant
Whenever I see this design, I stop and just enjoy. It’s such a perfect space yet simple and elegant. I love the shapes used, I love the unique painting, the flowers, the chair, the neutrals as a base color and the reds as an impulsive touch to bring in some warmth and stimulation. Perfect!

6. Scandinavian Dream
Loving this home office set-up, even though it is included in a room and not very big. It looks super comfy, very relaxing and just fits perfectly into the Scandinavian dreamy lifestyle.

7. A creative dream
How could I not include this perfect design? I love how this space has been used, with the window and the stunning wallpaper. This room really is made up for creative excursions. So gorgeous!

8. Another dreamy space
This is exactly what I mean when being brave and creative in your home office design. Why not use wallpaper and lovely wall paneling? This room is a literal dream with so much warmth and character, that it’s just fun working there.

9. Neutrals but still put together
Another gorgeous option to design your home office. It is very structured, kept in neutrals but still looks very put together, well designed and simply stunning. A place I can definitely imagine getting lots of things done. It kinda gives “big-girl-energy”!

10. A moody space with rustic elements
Last but not least, this stunning moody home office design features darker and rustic elements, making the space very grounded. I imagine this to be the perfect space for a stressful job, where you can really relax despite all the stress going on. The painting from Kader Boly’s Migration series brings in a sense of movement (as the name already says), symbolizing the opposite of still-stand in a subtle and gentle way. I adore this!
